Nikon 24-70 2.8 Best Lens in the World?
Dec 31, 2012

Hey guys!

Well i just bought this lens. Was considering the tamron equivalent for a while but in the end with the deal i got the nikon was only around 385 euros more so i just had to get the Nikkor. Right?

First impression? This lens is so freakin awesome wow! Just taking it out of the box, angles, i mean angels came down from the sky in a bright light and sang hallelujah! What a beautiful piece of work, technology, glass, magic!! this lens just shynes quality and amazing craftsmanship. Ok ok...the overall look, feel and built just made me very excited

At the moment i use it on my D7000. So i plugged it on the body and started shooting some random stuff. WOW times TWO!!! Focus bam bam bam, laserfast, accurate, more fast and decisive!! Mind you. It was evening, inside, barely any decent lightsource and my d7000 got new AF life, inspiration, confidence. Yes my D7K got confident with this beauty on it! I would be! Imagine a godlike sextool on your male body like that? Wouldnt you become oh so confident?  And so i was yet again impressed. Quiet, fast, precise autofocus this lens has, even in low light with a semi pro body! The moment i tryed it in good light finally...well i came nearly. Awesome!

Then later on cheking those images on my laptop i was yet again a happy boy not regretting all that money spend. No! I was like oh my god, the money i will make with this thing! hhaha I'm not a technical guy when it comes to analyzing image pornaty. I just care about what i work with in a more artistic way. And i'm thrilled. This lens owns wide open 2.8, at any focal lenght, on any face, wall, tree, bird, camel or whathever you will shoot with it. Great sharp images all the way, beautiful colors, great contrast. the point i was worried a bit was the quality of bokeh. But nah. I think bokeh is beautiful as well. I do (enviromental) portraits basicly and i am so looking forward to try it out in a shoot soon. Oh and i love the flare control. I dont know how but this is asking to shoot straight to the sun to experiment in that way.

Awesome, awesome!  Oh and did i mention?  I love the weight! Make's me feel like a real hardcore male pornogra.. ,uhm i mean photographer!!

Cheers
