Question about the Canon Pro 9000 Mark ll

I purchased some Epson 11x14 paper for use in my Canon Pro 9000 Mark ll. I bought the Epson paper because Canon doesn't have 11 X 14 paper. When I went to print I just realized the printer doesn't support 11x14 paper. I went ahead and used the 11x 17 setting. It seems the printer stopped printing when the paper ran through. Obviously it was 3" short. It worked for me since the photo wa going in a frame and the crop worked out okay. Is there something I can do so I can crop correctly to 11x14 paper?
