D300s battery drains fast when using intervalometer.......

Haven't played with the intveralometer much, but if you were taking long exposures, 10-30 seconds that'll drain the batteries pretty quick compared to normal shooting, I generally get 3000 shots on a charge, with very little lcd viewing, but after a night out taking lightning shots with long exposures, quickly drain a battery after 200-300 shots.
