No vr: A Benefit
Dec 31, 2012

On a sunset cruise while on vacation in Hawaii, my Sigma 17-70 os developed a rattle and a shake.  It rattles while zooming or focusing and the viewfinder skips erratically.  With the camera off, there is no noise.  Fortunately, I brought my 7 year old Tamron 28-300.  No vr.  No built-in-motor.  Works just like new. I have my vr-free Tokina 12-24 for anything wide.  So, I am still enjoying Hawaii.  Lots of images to process back in icy New Jersey.  And a box to ship to Sigma.
