D3100 to maybe the D7000? What lens? [£1000 budget]

Hello all, I am a new guy around here and I look forward to talking photography in these forums. So a couple of months ago my D3100 hit the floor, the sensor broke so I sold it on eBay for repairs. Long story short I am now after a new DSLR, I have a couple of Nikon lenses left after selling my macro so naturally it seems like a good idea to go with the Nikon brand again.
My question is what should I go for, I do not intend to become a pro photographer and to be honest, I managed to get some great results from the toy D3100 :). My primary focus is natural landscape (more mid-close range), followed by urban (night) photography. During the last few months I also got into artist video so decent video would be great, I realize Canon is a better brand for video but I have Nikon lenses remember, and my main focus is IQ.
These are the options I have looked into, D7000 is my top option at the moment...
My budget is £1000, I assume buying a cheaper SLR and a decent lens would be better then say the D600 that goes slightly above the budget and without a new lens. As a result I am more interested in potential new (DSLR+Lens) combinations, if I was to get the D7000 for around £620 I would have £380 spare for a lens.
