I am in the process of converting several of my color shots from Charlotte into b&w. I originally shot this in May of 2010. You will often find me near the corners of Trade and Tryon Streets in uptown Charlotte. What we hold in our hand is a time machine. If this photo is still around 50 or 100 years from now, people will have an idea of how we looked and dressed. I don't believe that the woman in the background likes the short skirt.
I really think and see in b&w and this gets me back to the roots of why I love photography. I had gotten away from b&w when I was able to get my first digital camera. Now that I am retired, I have gone back to what I loved about photography when I first picked up a camera. I find people interesting.
