G1X + EOS M Owners (and maybe X100 owners too) - some questions

Hi - I had a G1X before and depsite all of the negative reviews - thought the camera was almost perfect for me.  I loved the images from it - sharp, great color, low noise, etc. The slow autofocus didn't bother me.  I strictly use the LCD for shooting - I don't care about a viewfinder, but the LCD has to be natively 3:2, a good size, and high resolution - I'm picky about this.

I am looking at the EOS M two lens kit.  It seems that almost no one on earth is buying this camera.  There really aren't many images from it to veiw on flickr either.  I've researched reviews - and pretty much as they did with the G1X - they trash the camera.  SO I figure - since I actually liked the G1X - that I might actually like the EOS M even more :-).

The EOS M LCD specs are right on and if the autofocus is at least as fast as the G1X - then I'll be fine with it.  I think the touch screen would be awesome.  I was also considering the Fujifilm X100, but I really don't care about having a viewfinder and the lcd is small, low res, and not 3:2.  The X100 has a fixed 23mm f2 lens, but the EOS M kit has a 22mm f2 too.  I am thinking that the images from the EOS M would compare similarly to the X100.

Has anyone actually tried both the G1X AND EOS M (with 18-55) and can tell me about the autofocus speed between them?  Has anyone tried the Fuji X100 AND EOSM w/ 22mm EF-M ens that can tell me how they compare?  I am really looking for people that have hands on experience with the cameras because there are a zillion reviews from other people that are basing their opinions on specs and not hands on use.  Also, I'm not interested in other systems.
