Anyone own A99 and A77

I *HAD* an A77 and now have an A99. I am astonished by the performance of the A99, and I love it! I was also given the 2470Z lens, and as a pair, they are incredible. I took a family 'snapshot' a couple of days, under 5 LED spotlights in the room, at 6400 ASA, f2.8 and 1/60th, and whilst the image does not bear close scrutiny (too narrow DOF, bit of movement blur from the subjects - four teenage boys!), my folks were thrilled with it.

My 70-400G lens is currently away with Sony being repaired.

The weather here has been unremittingly grey and wet (the UK is heading for its highest annual rainfall ever, with one day to go!), and I cannot wait to get out and explore this combination further.

All that being said, there are many, many superb images seen on here from A77 shooters.

My brother, a professional photographer and a Nikon man, was very impressed by the A99. He gave me a two hour tutorial on Lightroom  and I am now a) only going to shoot in RAW, and b) finally understand what a good tool LR is. I'm looking forward to 2013!

So, if you can, go for the A99. But, I would put glass before body. All the advice I've been given (glass is forever, bodies come and go) seems to hold true. But, if you could run to an A99 and a wide angle zoom and a telephoto (depending on your subjects) you will end up with a stupendous system. Enjoy!
