If you compare sales of camera mounts then m4/3 is on par with Canon EOS and Nikon F mounts and well ahead of Sony, Canon EOS M and Nikon 1 mounts.

If you strip out FF sales from the above figures, m4/3 becomes the most popular cropped mount in Japan this year.

I expect that m4/3 had a good year for lens sales as well as camera bodies.

I doubt Olympus sold many lens hoods though  Way too expensive for what they are.

Note that Samsung is not in the above figures as their cameras don't sell in Japan. Applying the Japanese data to other markets needs to be done with caution. I suspect that Samsung will take more sales from M4/3 than they will from Canon and Nikon in world markets but I have no data to back this up.

I hope Oly and Panasonic can sustain their positions over the next few years to build a large and sustainable user base.
