4k kills the photography business? The Canon EOS 1D C shooting stills !

But we are not talking videographers here. I am saying a photographer. If the AF was nearly as good and you could shoot at 24 or better 60fps at 8mp, I think you would have a huge advantage of getting the shot. That was the point of the video, catching the exact right expression at the right time. Even the photographers were impressed. This is the future, people better start embracing it.

That is what people use to say about film when digital technology was young, they could not see where it was headed. But now film is the inferior equipment.

Sports photographers want faster frames per second so to capture the right moment, a drop down mirror will never be as fast as a 60fps video capture, they just have to work on the AF. The may even come up with laser technology, radar, sound, other things that can judge distance than better fussy logic, or even just speed up the current technology.

My guess would be it will take less time for video to mature to the point it will start taking over in the event type photography than it did for digital to take over film. I guess we will have to wait and see. Time stamp, today, lets see how long it takes to fulfill my prophesy. Well it is already happening on an 12,000 camera. Lets see how long it takes to get that camera into the $6k pro digital still camera and how fast they are able to improve AF.
