OMD and emotional attachement

Way back when, I was a serious Olympus fan.  My all time favorite was my OM-4t.  I sold all my Olympus film gear to go to digital, back then it was the Canon D30.  For years, I bought (and then sold) most all DSLR brands... Panasonic, Sony, Nikon, and Canon.

When the OM-D was rumored, and then announced, I was ecstatic and put one on order.  But delivery was too late for a major vacation, so I bought a used GH2 and lenses, with the idea I would sell the body and buy the OMD when I got back.  That never happened, and the GH3 came along and I put one on back order.  I figured camera Nirvana would come with the GH3.

But then the Oly "mistake" happened, and I bought the OM-D and grip at the super low price.  I figured this would do until the GH3 arrived, at which time I would sell the OMD.  Then I started taking more serious pictures with the OMD.

I've got to say,. the OMD is growing on me. In fact, the feel of the equipment, and the sound of the shutter, reminds me so  much of the OM4 that I am becoming emotionally attached to it.  I just may cancel the GH3, or keep both....

This is a great time to love photography, and the equipment is (for me) an important part.  Fun!
