Therefore the "affective" focal length, aperture, (and ISO?) should be twice the displayed number on an mFT whether it is a FF lens or an mFT lens.

I am indeed a beginner and this is not my job but as you said it is sad that pro photographers stop studying after they start making money. You may take good pictures without knowing all this but you will take MUCH BETTER pictures if you know how the physics of your lens and your camera perform.
