Thanks very much. Here is my attempt with Lightroom 4.3.

Here are the settings I used. I didn't like what they did to the large bush on the right so I used the brush on it and tried to dial back some of these settings.

A quick go with DXO. Not sure if it is to your taste but that is always adjustable.

Looks a bit muddy to me. Can you puch it up a bit? Compare it to the other two above.

I agree, but the view on the thread looks different than the original in my gallery. I will punch it up.

Very hard to adjust to the taste of someone else. So many parameters that can be adjusted. Here it is with some punch. Best to view the original in my gallery.

I think DxO is doing a decent job here. It's no slouch and is a fine choice aside from the missing DAM functions. However, I still think LR is doing the better job particularly in the area of highlight recovery.

Thanks for your previous input regarding Aperture. I'm behind the times trying to catch up. I'm also using PS CS3 with my D700. I'm doing a lot of reading to get up to speed before purchasing one of the D800's. I see much approval for Lightroom but was wondering why wouldn't the current PS version raw processor be just as good? Both Adobe. If you already have PS then what are the advantages to having LR as well?

Thanks
