I used this very good product called Ativa. It is moisture and residue free. I have gone in and blown out the sensor about 3 times and done an internal menu cleaning as well and I am satisfied that what I did has eliminated the issue for the time being. The fact that the spots are pretty much gone I feel my issue is not lubricant related at this time. I have attached a basic test  after 3 cleanings with the compressed air and the menu clean function. I consider the results acceptable. Your advice is good advice and there is surely a problem in the manufacturing but I am pretty good with my hands. I feel the benefits of the camera and the fact that I can clean it myself without much trouble out weigh the dust and spot issues. Thank you for your help and advice.
