January 8th announcement: 14-24 f2.8L

The 14-24 is exciting, though given Canon's recent history it will be priced well over $2K and make Nikon's look like a bargain by comparision.  I think many would prefer a smaller, lighter f4 version at a more sane price.

Like almost every Canon lens release lately, I'll be holding off on this one until I win the lottery.
