I told myself I would never shoot with a non dslr camera or a camera without a viewfinder. This was before the iPhone become the most used camera ever (according to flickr) and from my own experience. I am so used to the way the iPhone shoots that the RX100 felt fine to me. I then got the RX1 and have no problems shooting without a viewfinder. I got out my D800 the other day to take some shots, picked it up, aimed at the target and expected the LCD to come on forgetting that it had a viewfinder lol. The only glass that I have that comes close to the sharpness of the RX1 is the 70-200 2.8 VRII but that set up weighs a ton and I have used it only a few times. The 50 1.8 prime and the 28-300 do not come close.
