An Interesting Confluence Of Clouds (or When Nature Imitates Architecture)
Dec 29, 2012

I see these from time to time, but it was only after I reviewed that I realised what I had caught.

Zion Lutheran Church, Walla Walla. Sixty years ago it would have held all the people in the town (about 400).

An unusually large church in a small country town in southern NSW, originally settled by German immigrants fleeing religious persection, back in 1869.

Shot in L size with the X10 - I'm now shooting L because it gives more file data to work with by the time I trim it back down to the normal output, around 1800 on the long side.

I like the way the clouds, 2 formations, just imitate the roof line.

Got any of your own?  I've seen young saplings criss-cross over each other beside the criss-cross trestles in a railway bridge, and the angle of tree branches mimic (or frame) other rooflines.
