FX8350 is $209.

The FX8350 is AMD top chip which is about 10-30% slower than i7-3770

OK, assume you want to save money with the AMD chip. Now let look at what is your payback

Idle: i7: 47W (mine at 35W), FX8350: 61W

full load: i7: 144w (mine at 125W), FX8350: 210W (dead last).

So for $80, you would get a 10-25% slower CPU, and suck 50% more power. Your system will be noisier because the fan probably run at higher speed all the time.
