That would have been my next suggestion if attaching a second VGA monitor allowed it to boot, as I suggested in my earlier post. Good to hear it worked.

It sounds like that monitor just doesn't get recognized as active at boot by any video card, from what you've indicated. I've heard of similar issues in the past with certain monitors.
