January 8th announcement: 14-24 f2.8L

I have no interest in a 14-24L. I would much prefer a MK III 16-35L with optics comparable to the 24-70L II and 70-200L II.

Now a 35 1.4L II is another matter. I have 11 Canon lenses and the 35L is my most used. I would buy the MK II almost immediately.
