Best 24-70 f/2.8mm for handholding on D800?

Thanks Peter.  That is one of the reviews I found.  It is rather less favourable to the Tamron than http://photographylife.com/reviews/tamron-24-70mm-f2-8, which also compares the three lenses.  Also the Camera Labs test only favours the Nikon 24-85 VR for value, which is not much of a consideration for my principal lens.  It does say of the Tamron “if you are after the best low-light performance, go for it.”  Any of the 3 considered cost much less than the D800, and both the Tamron and Nikon 24-85 VR cost much more than my outlay for the Nikon 17-55 (probably misguided with hindsight - I never expected an FX body such as the D800, capable of giving worthwhile performance on my DX lenses).
