Canon 650-4ti owners, what computer system requirements are needed?

I think we try to tell you that your computer with the latest XP updates should be good enough for your new T4i. The memory is the most important part. 2Gb seems OK. I hope you have enough harddisk space left for new images. RAW is much more space consuming and processor intensive than JPEG. RAW processing will be slower with 18 Mpix files coming off the T4i compared to lets say 8 Mpix files of the Rebel XT.

If you want to improve your computing kit, in case you didn't already: make sure you make backups to an external drive or a NAS! I've seen my share of crashed harddisks. External USB drives are not very expensive any more.
