in all honesty it should take you less than 5 minutes to setup a new R2000, and print from PS using profiles and get a matching print to the monitor.
You seem to shy away from answering the questions that people ask you and are willing to help you.
So lets start over, answer all the questions, stick with Jtoolman as he has a R2000 and knows what he is talking about, and by the end of today you should have a perfect print.
1. What operating system are your using, MAC or Windows?
I am using both Mac and windows using QI
2. What type computer/screen are you using (desktop, notebook, external monitor)
Macbook pro 17" and I have a 30" cinema, I have no problem getting great prints from my Lab.
3. Do you have a calibrated monitor and if so what hardware/software did you use
Yes, its working, not the problem
4. What Photo Editing software are you using, PS (CS5,6). LR, etc.?
PS5
5. Use only the standard photo that I gave you a link to for testing, we all know what it looks like and make more meaningfull decisions.
I have printed out so many pics now and its basically they are just good, not as good as I expected.
I will however print out the sample picture.
I wanted them to be better than my HP and I can see now thats not going to happen. If I didn't have prints from it to compare I probably would be happy and not have known the difference. I thought the 6 colors and the hi res printing output would do it, but I guess the 8 colors of the 3000 would have given more depth like my 8 color HP. I knew I should have gone the r3000 route, especially getting great B&W.s but I am cheap and hated the idea of it wasting ink when you changed over and the cost of inks are a lot more. I liked the cheap inks on the r2000 that are available.
I've offered to send as many sample prints as you might need and how to achieve them, I promise you that I will set you up correctly but you still insist on not accepting my offer.
You HP dye printer just like my Epson 1400 6 color Dye ofr my Canon PRO9000 MKII produce bright saturated prints that most lay person would choose. Hower saturated images such as those are not natural in the real world. Which the correct work flow you will get gorgeous perints out of that R2000. But only if you want to.
Let me help you out!!!!!!
However I wanted to be able to push my prints in selling them which are better than the lab produces but at this point I cant honestly do that.
6. Download the latest driver and install...
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=174623&infoType=Downloads
I have the latest drivers installed.
IN QI under Edit, then color management the box opens.
Where it says monitor color space thats my calibrated monitor profile. .ICC I use sRGB, not changing that.
Then printer profile, I have this, C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\color\SPR2000 Premium Glossy.icc
Is that correct?
Report back....
