NEX-6 - CRAPPED OUT - Shutter remains closed. REFUND imminent - TURN OFF BODY BEFORE SWAPPING LENSES

I didnt mention clearly that i was using a 3rd party adapter (Without electronic support) but figured it was a given since i stated the lens i was using (Sigma 28-70 2.8 DG).

Also the adapter is just one of the common el cheapo chinese adapters found on EBay.

To answer your question, i'm keepin the adapter along with my other NEX accessores (Pancake UCL adapter, AC adapter, ND's etc.) due to the fact that i know myself and eventually Sony will release an E-mount Camera or Camcorder that i will most likely adopt with open arms.

Im not 100% positive about this issue as im not a electrician or camera repair man. I just wanted to explain clearly the symptoms of what happened and the outcome. I'll leave it up to you guys, the NEX community and NEX-6 owners to keep all of this in mind, if you choose to do so.

Although i will say this. If i got my NEX-6 replaced for a new unit my shooting style would not change. I would still HOT SWAP to my hearts desires because i believe that its completely bogus that a camera body craps out over something that comes as naturally as changing lenses.

Dont let the instruction manual dictate how you shoot.
