Mirrorless doesn't have to mean small, I suspect we'll see more DSLR-sized cameras with EVF like the Sony A99. Given that Sigma DSLRs have never been action/sport cameras, how about an SD2M with live view, EVF and contrast detect AF? The DP cameras may have great lenses, but another reason they are so sharp is the far more accurate focus system.

Sure, AF would be slow with existing SA lenses, but new/updated lenses could be optimized for CDAF, Sigma clearly knows how to and it's beneficial for their Nikon/Canon mount versions as well (for both stills and video).

It would be nice to use my SA-mount lenses on something I did not have to focus-bracket.  That something could be a Sigma APS-C mirrorless with an optional electronic adapter for SA-mount.  The nice worry-free sensor-based autofocus would make it worthwhile for me, and it would be goodbye SD1 and goodbye SD15!

On the other hand, Pentax did a K-01 with an integral regular DSLR lens mount.  I really wouldn't mind a Sigma version.  Probably too far off the beaten track even for Sigma...
