Rude salesman

I did a transaction over the phone for a lens that was on sale; it couldn't be done over the net due to the payment circumstances. When I first spoke with a salesman, I made it clear that I wanted to buy the new lens for the sales price.

The salesman aggressively tried to push the floor model of the lens. I did not show any interest in the floor model, but when he eventually said he might be able to sell the lens for a cheaper price/put me on hold, it wasn't clear what he was referring to.. so I just said "ok". TBH, he spoke rapidly.

When he came back and said the floor model was cheaper and proceeded as if I was buying it, I said to not be interested.

The salesman raised his voice and went into a rant about how I was "wasting his time" and blah blah blah "you said you wanted the floor model", "that's why I put you on hold", etc.

It was then clear I wanted a new one and when he asked for my payment info, I was about to hang up on him, but realized the sale was almost over on this lens. He kept throwing in little jabs like "I'm not wasting your time, you're not wasting my time", etc.

After the payment went through, I tried to smooth things over, saying that there was a misunderstanding but he wasn't receptive to it. Completely abrasive the whole time.

I noticed the price reflected the free shipping option ("up to 10 days') and I actually wanted to pay for shipping to get it to me sooner. When I pointed this out to him, he gave an insincere "apology" about how we wasted each others' time with his continued angry tone and stated that "it's ground (shipping)/you can't get better than that" and quickly hung up the phone.

I know I could call back and ask to speak with a manager, etc. I just want the lens to get here. If I make noise about it, for all I know I might get a message saying that it's now out of stock.

It was easily the worst transaction I have ever encountered and I may get one of those emails to rate the experience.
