/ Lots of notebook computers under $600 will do all you need, but will also do it wherever you choose to be, although editing movies may be a little slow..
/A combo pack of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements may save you some money.
/ Doing modern things with pictures may make you want to show them to other people on your monitor. So bigger is better.
/ If you have a modern big tv, make sure you can connect your new computer to it. My little 11.6 ACER only fills the middle of my big TV, but my 17 inch Samsung computer fills the whole screen. With either computer, all I do is drag an HDMI cord across the room and plug it in. TV asks me to press a couple of buttons.
/ I've never figured out why someone has Lightroom and Elements.
/ You may want a backup hard drive in addition to the drive in your new computer. I use little Western Digital drives.
