Thanks for the heads-up on Wescott - I try to avoid disposable stuff. Alas, Profoto is indeed a bit out of my range. I think I'll go ahead and just stick with incandescents for now - those Arri lights seem doable.
I suppose some tripod use isn't completely out of the question. (I can upgrade the fussy old head I hate for not too much $$$.) I do appreciate having tighter compositions with less need for straightening & cropping.
Thanks for all the advice, guys - I will also be getting Light Science & Magic to further educate myself.
