This cam produces an IQ virtually equal to the K5II & K5IIs, and will give any DSLR out there a run for its money. Add to that the huge number of low priced Pentax legacy manual lenses out there, and we have at last, a low priced, high performing body, that will be more than adequate for the majority of users, if the taking of photographs really is their game.

I suspect though that an awful lot of EM5 buyers find its jewel-like appeal enough reason to splash the cash ... again, again ... and again. Even on some truly sub-par µ4/3 lenses.

Har har, good one. Sorry the OM-D wasn't for you. That's no reason to hurl baseless insults at those who like it. You talk about cheap legacy glass, but not everyone likes manual focusing, and Pentax's focus peaking isn't the best implementation. You're right that the K30 is a very fine camera and is worthy of serious consideration. But just because you like it best doesn't mean everyone who chooses something else is acting for superficial reasons.

Attitudes like yours are representative of the entire problem with this forum. Everyone is so busy making neener neener arguments about price, styling, and marginal performance differences that they never leave their computers and take actual photographs.

whew!

Glad I got that over with.

What does "neener" mean, anyway?
