NEX-6 - CRAPPED OUT - Shutter remains closed. REFUND imminent - TURN OFF BODY BEFORE SWAPPING LENSES

I suspect that most of us don't follow every precaution in the manual but regularly swapping lenses without turning the camera off is asking for trouble IMO (I've certainly done it by mistake a few times).

Then to say that you're holding out of the NEX series because you're not happy that you killed your camera by mistreating it is a little misguided IMO.  I wouldn't chalk it up as a dud or lemon but rather the expected result of how the camera was treated.
