New R2000 - thanks for the tips

Just a rather long-winded note to thank those of you who have shared information about the R2000.
I was an early adopter of 3rd party ink and paper use (Epson 1160) and the very first CIS system many years ago. My last wide format printer was an R2400 with an Ink Republic CIS. I have used QImage forever.
Because I had other priorities for awhile I got rid of all printers except for a small Artisan. The R2400 was a lemon - couldn't feed paper worth a darn.
My camera is a Nikon D7000 and I turned my attention to improving my photography rather than spending all my time keeping that R2400 and it's CIS limping along.
I really do not like what I am getting from labs so I decided to see where the Epson print technology is for us non-pros who want the control over our own prints. I was delighted to read about the R2000 and received one yesterday. I was even MORE delighted to learn about the cheap OEM inks on Ebay - bought two sets for $70.00 last night. I have a huge paper stash and more on the way from Red River.
Just like the good old days, but hopefully without the clogs.
If/when the cheap OEM supply runs out I will go with refills. I will use the Cone carts but he doesn't seem to have the archival inks. I am thinking of going with his new Ink Thrift set since I am only in this for my own pleasure and like the reviews I've seen here.
It is so nice to know there are knowledgeable folks willing and able to give high quality advice.
