A57 with 18-135mm lens (anyone have this lens?)

Can anyone give me a review on the a57 with the 18-135mm lens? I've read only 2 reviews on this lens and they say its great. Just wondered how it translates in the real world. I'd be using it as my primary lens to shoot my 18 month old son as well as landscape. Thanks.
