Sigma 30 and its Sticky Focus Ring

I guess I'm lucky (so far) in that both of my Sigma 30 (owned for 3 months)  and 19 (less than one month) are about the same regarding the smoothness of the focus ring.  However, its well reported  that the Sigma 30 can be sticky.  I keep an eye on it, but so far so good.
