photozone posted some samples of the 18-55; certainly wide open @ 18mm the lens is not a premium performer; though it seems to do better stopped down and at the long end. I haven't played with the camera yet so can't comment (I did muck with the pro-1 in a shop and was very turned off by the evf and auto focus). In a lot of ways I like what fuji is doing with the system but at least for right now the om-d seems a bit more enjoyable to use.

Thanks for the consolation. And yes, i also heard this and that about hte fuji. I definitely like it's iq but the af is supposed to be somewhat behind the omd's.

Apart from that actual competiton I keep telling myself, that you buy into a system not because of a body, but because of the lenses. I really like the mu43 lens line-up. They offer great quality packed in relatively small packages and this advantage cannot be outweighed by the competition any time soon. With sensors being improved again and again, on the other hand, I hope and I expect, that there will be ever better cameras in the mu43 universe. So seeing it from a long term perspective, I'm still pretty convinced that I chose right.
