Anyone used the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 SP Di VC USD & the Nikon Equivalent?

I used both. Formerly owned the Nikon 70-300 VR and now I own the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 SP Di VC USD.

The IQ of the Tamron is better on the long end (the Nikon copy I had was good but felt a litte soft). The focus speed of the Tamron seems a litte bit slower however. But it works very well when you activate AF early when shooting in C mode.
