portraiture lens help ??!

I agree with the poster who suggested the 70-200 f2.8. It is a great lens, excellent for portraits and for so many other things! It is quite heavy but I can handle it and I am not tough. You can use it for nearly everything, and get superb results. I have the 85 f1.4 which is as sharp as you can get, but does not have the versatility of the 70-200.
