D800 owners - what makes an acceptable second and smaller camera

I still have 2 D700's that i use mainly. I seldom take my D800 for work unless the resolution is needed for the shot. I like my D800 but I rarely encounter a situation where my D700 can't get the job done. For my personal use, I use D800 all the time
