et tu.

I posted earlier about my trials today, but it didn't go through.

We printed two files today - one D800 and one SD1M. Both of the same subject, both taken into PS and enlarged to 100% and then sent directly to the printer. The D800 image came out 60 inches wide and the Sigma image came out 32 inches wide.

That is the variance I was trying to question yesterday and trying to resolve that with the 30mp Bayer equivalent statements.

I'm not unhappy, just a bit let down. Bit like getting a new Boxster and finding the turbo charge has been removed.

I'm sorry if this may seem like another attack at you, Ron. But I can't help but feel amazed that not only you do have a D800 and an SD1 available, but also a printer that can print 60 inches wide, yet lack the basic understanding of DPI and print sizes.

I mean, even if the printer and the D800 are friends' equipment I would at least expect them to know about this stuff.

And by the way, there is no turbo charged Boxster - I hope you haven't ordered one already and then go complaining about that in the Porsche-forum.

Happy holidays.
