Why be loyal?

Regardless of my little rant here (apologies, again), I intend to continue to be a loyal customer, even with all these QC problems. But, hush! Don't tell Nikon

I've been a Nikon User since my D200, I still keep my D200 because it's so reliable and it's not worth much if I sell it.

Bought and sold a D7000 because I got tired of dealing with oil spots problem. Initially Nikon asked me to pay for sensor cleaning. Later even after Nikon replaced the mirror assembly, the problem came back. I learned to clean the sensor myself, but oil spots ruined some of my macro shots right after cleaning. No fun.

I tried micro 4/3, it was okay, especially for travel and hiking.

I tried a Sony NEX 5N, the ergo and menu not so good, but I ended up using it a lot, for things that don't need a DSLR. The sensor is at least as good as D7000, no mirror, and no oil/dust issue at all.

Bought a D600 two weeks ago, will see how things go.

I do NOT intend to be a loyal Nikon customer. You won't be rewarded in any way being loyal. I don't want to be locked into Nikon, so when I buy Nikon lens I try to buy those with aperture rings. Gradually I also got a few lenses of various SLR mounts I can use on NEX or m4/3. I'm minimizing my dependency on Nikon for the type of shooting I do (mostly manual focus).

If Nikon don't pay attention to customers, why be loyal to them?
