What makes a pro body?

We're talking about pro bodies (camera) & not pro bodies (person). A pro photographer can use a cell phone yet that doesn't make a cell phone a pro camera. A pro camera is one that is built to be used & subjected to extreme conditions & still function properly.  High mpx does not equate to pro, rather build determines a pro body & that is what Nikon, Canon etc refer to as a pro body. A D2hs is a pro body yet it is only 4mpx. Many professional photographers also have a point & shoot with them, but just because they take photos with them, doesn't make these point & shoot cameras, pro cameras & some people just need to get this thought out of their heads. No photographer wants to admit their camera is not a pro body & just because any given camera might have a FF sensor doesn't make it a pro body. It just makes it a FF consumer body, be it made by Nikon, Canon or any other mfg. Again, it's the build that determines whether it's a pro body or not.
