Bats shooting requires a special technique. Most use beam interruption in order to avoid any delay. Flash power must be very low to obtain a short exposure time typical 1/10.000 sec or faster. Result you need multiple flashes ( most use 16 flashes ). The detector based on interruption is super fast ( in the range of some 100 us). Once you have a detector signal, there is no problem to fire multiple flashes.
In addition to these technical skills, there is also need ecological knowledge of animals. A collaboration with a researcher or bat workgroup is recommended.
