I liked the old RED and Green scheme, and I am very happy that they have added it back to the new DPR.  Yes, the first time through, there are too many of them, but after you close your browser once, you'll only have new messages marked with NEW.  It works really well for me.

Thanks DPR staff.

the "new" RED (orange) & GREEN scheme was present in the DPR's incarnation prior to their big upheaval of few weeks ago, but the new functionality of full/half dots, and the later addition of making with a red NEW only the threads - with which user was interested - whenever some new post will be there was optimal IMO, was very much superior to a chaos created now = after all the current orange NEWs are marking entries that are no older than a preset threshold - useless as thread are sorted anyway with newest ones on top

Unfortunately, today all posts are tagged with NEW, and even after visiting ALL POSTS within a given thread the pesky neon RED still sticks - hopefully this is just a nasty bug and not an intended "feature" !!

They'd fix EXISTING BUGS FIRST..... like IE8 incompatibilities...... Viewing of pictures....... etc. etc. etc. ...... Instead of introducing more useless (imho) features instead.

The old "New" notifications were find the way they are ..... now..... practically everything is new. Shhheeeeeeeeehh
