Skintones I was never that happy with Nikon have a bit of a yellow ish cast and I can't say I cared for it. That is down to taste though.

If you get a good one (that has decent AF) I'm sure you'll like it very nice body overall. For me my 2 recent production D7000's were a huge disappointment for autofocus. Slow and not that consistent..Sony's AF is far superior IMO even though I'm not a fan of SLT they AF much faster and with great accuracy.
