So not one word after the accusation that I should 'shut up'.  Odd.

On the other hand at the top, it Says,

Digital Photography Review:

When it says

Digital Video Review:

I'd be interested in dropping by.

My only real exposure to video was when I picked a team to determine

equipment for a project to implement video training for the Fire Department.

They guys involved were techy types, and after having meetings we ended up with

2 Sony Cameras you hold on the shoulder,

A Sony Computer,

An Avid system to edit the footage,

And 10 DVD writers daisy chained together to make CDR's or DVD's.

And the purchasing department awarded a Panasonic distributor the task of installing a podium with a monitor, a projector mounted in the ceiling with a sound system in the main training room, and TV's in the fire stations with a DVD player.

I held the camera once and sat in on the Avid training courses, but my involvement was minimal on the day to day operations, such is the live of the administrator / director of the department.

But we made some great stuff, and I had input into what and where we did the shooting, and the content.

I'm sure, from what you say, it was mushy.  But we got the message out, and saved money over the old system of dragging each of the 12 crews in times 4 platoons.  (Ie. 48 training sessions, plus pick up the sick guys, the guys on vacation or admin. leave., it turns crazy.

This started my belief in Sony as a system, for the guys spent hours looking at other vendors, and Sony won the day.  I then, once cameras became an interest in retirement, chose an a100 and the rest, well followed along.

I'm glad of my choice, I won't regret or cry about it.  I need to get better at using my stuff, but that is a learning curve, and with the help of people here, and Gary Friedman, I'll muddle along.
