a99 Review, One Exceptional Camera Locked

I stand by what my eyes told me which is that the a99 with HD Mode ON is the same quality as the 5dIII and the D800 with HD Mode OFF.

It's obvious to me the a99 isn't up to the same quality level video-wise. It doesn't matter if the review disagrees with me. The minute my eyes disagree with the reviewer's assessment, his skills are called into question and he's deemed incompetent in my opinion and therefore his review holds no water with me, whether it's the DPR review or a third party review. To me, my eyes are the final verdict and not any review.

If you can't see the difference, then that's awesome. This shouldn't bother you so much. Or it shouldn't bother you that other people can. Keep shooting and be happy.

If you can see it then ask yourself if you can live with the substandard video quality. Either you can or you can't. If you can't, don't buy the a99.
I would not wait on Sony to fix anything. You have to make a decision based on the a99 as it is.
