My 18-55mm arrived just the other day and I've not really had a chance to take it out other than late last night. I drove to Dallas to see what it could do at night without a tripod. These are all hand held shots. ISO on these shots was 2000 to 2500. Shutter speeds were from 1/8s to 1/60s.

Note: Photos are best viewed as original images.. still not happy with DPReview's IQ of embedded photos.

The IOS of the 18-55 makes it much easier to use in low light situations. Thus far I have no complaints about the 18-55. Seems to live up to all I have read about it. It is exactly what I expected from Fuji. It is not your average kit lens.

The ability to 'see' the shot is more important than the gear used to capture it.
