The NEC PA27 has three inputs: a display port and two dual link DVI ports. Included is a mini display port to display port cable. So just hook the mini up with that. I have a mini connected with a mini display port, a PC connected with a dual link DVI, and a MacAir connected with a mini display port to dual link DVI. There is a front panel switch that selects the input.
Thanks a lot. So if I understand this correctly: with the cables provided with the monitor and the Mac Mini I can hook it up (TB port -> mini display port) without spending extra money on fancy $100 cables, right? And it runs at 2560x1440 with that, correct?
That's correct. It has all the necessary cables.
You only need the fancy $100 cable if you are hooking up two Macs with only mini display ports.
