I'm not worried about the sky. This was shot around 8:30 pm. It's a house I see everyday from where I live and that night just happened to be a picture perfect moment. So I grabbed my gear and ran outside for the shot. I'm going to attempt to do a golden hour evening shot since the sun sets behind the house from the view at the street.
BTW this photo is already heavily cropped for 2 reasons. First reason is that it sits high above the street and if I tried to angle the camera up to fill the frame I would have had the severe perspective angles so I kept it level which placed it in the top half of the frame. Secondly there's a nasty stop sign and fire hydrant just out of this crop on the right and there's an ugly black pick up truck just out of frame on the left. That's why I wasn't sure about the final result but feedback has been positive. I thought it was a bit too tight but I guess it isn't. Thanks!
