Oly tied w Nikon?

I imagine this lower sales target may make a good motivator to Nikon, to actually produce a true successor to D700, call it D750 or D700s with D800 body and D4 sensor at 16MP and fast fps or else add 24Mp sensor of D600 into a D800 body. Once that happens, more of us event shooters who are heavy shooters, who want reasonable MP sensor (for faster workflow) in a Pro handling rugged body with excellent AF, will likely want to buy. Nikon are you reading this?
