12mp - (2448*3264, or 8mp) = 7,990,27

Of course this last line had a typo and should have read 7,990,272. The math works perfectly and proves to the pixel - demonstrably - the difference between 12mp and 8mp resolution.

12mp - 8mp surely is not .4 mp. That is so obviously wrong it's hard to believe anyone accepting it.
